About Me
Rachel is a professional educator and an avowed Wander Woman. She has taught in public, private, and religious institutions for more than 15 years while living in 11 homes in five US states and Europe. Rachel has a Master’s degree in Designing Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment and she been assisting homeschooling parents review, understand, evaluate, and plan their own curriculum and teaching plans for more than a decade. Frustrated at the inability of public schools to teach children holistically, she has been homeschooling her children since they each began to read.
Rachel was born in Clarksville, Tennessee; she grew up in Warsaw, Indiana, met her husband at a Salvation Army camp in Wisconsin and hasn’t stopped moving since. She and her husband, Will, have 3 children and currently reside in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Having traveled to 49 US states and 16 countries, Rachel has a wealth of stories and connections from her quest to bring her instruction to life. Her passion is to help homeschooling parents gain the skills and confidence to teach not just a child’s mind, but the heart, body, and spirit as they go on their own instructional quest.
